Hi everyone.........been almost two months since I have posted, I think lol.
Well, my sons wedding was absolutely WONDERFUL!!!  It was more then we could of hoped for and then some.  They were married 3 weeks ago tomorrow.  Very emotional time for me, but they are very happy. How I miss my son, even though he is not far from me.  Just a very empty house now.
Have had a MAJOR flare right before the wedding, but I wasnt going to let it stop me from enjoying it, as I put so much work into it.
However, the flare is still with me and is taking everything I have out of me.
My anxiety is sky high, the aches and pains are in my entire body and I am not sleeping.  Periods of crying spells, almost like a depression.  NOTHING
takes the pain away, NOTHING!!!!!  It rained last night, and when I got up this morning, I felt like someone had taken a baseball bat to my entire body.
I see the dr in Oct, but not sure what he will do, as I cant tolerate narcotics.  Started on vitamins... Super B complex and magnesium, so we shall see.
I guess I can contribute this flare to the wedding, and the let down after it.
I just dont know.  I ordered a portable ultrasound machine, as a last resort,
and am awaiting delivery on that.  I talked to the company and he said many women use it for Fibro.  It seems like this is my last hope. I can always return it if it doesnt work.
Tried to catch up on all your posts, and I do hope all of you are managing
your Fibro. Its no fun, it doesnt seem fair, but we do what we have to to get by.  Its good to be back here, and will be popping in more often now.
You all take care and hope your days will be more pain free
Hugs to you all

Welcome home Tootie. I'm glad the wedding went well. Sorry about the flare. I'm sure the stress and empty house is not helping you.

Hi Marlee
Glad to hear from you. The ultrasound delivers sonic waves 3 inches into the skin. It is used with a gel made of lavendar, peppermint and eucalyptus.
A friend I work with at the hosptial recommended it, as her husband has been so ill with fibro, he is on disability. He uses it and it does help him.
It is a hand held wand, with three settings. The company told me to use the
lowest setting, as fibroites are more sensative. Physical therapists use the more expensive and bigger machines, but this is intended for home use.
Like I said, if it doesnt work, I can return it. I will do anything to get rid of some of this pain.
Hope all is well with you, Marlee

My daughter used the ultrasound machine in PT to help patients heal from sports injuries. It may increase your pain slightly as it moves the left over metabolic byproducts from your muscle cells so be sure to drink lots of fluids with it to flush them from your system. It works like a tiny massage on all your muscle fibers and some people absolutely LOVE this treatment. Hope it makes you feel better.
