I just wanted to take a minute to express gratitude for this forum.
I used to visit another forum (not part of this site) for a different chronic illness, and the tone was so different.  There was a lot of sniping, negativity, condescension, etc.
This forum is such a breath of fresh air.  I've been here for about a month, and it is such a kind, supportive place.  Everyone is so generous to share their experiences, and no one is patronizing or sarcastic.  I think the tone is set by the moderators, and they do a wonderful job.  So I just wanted to say "thanks!"  :-)

Well said Austen!!!

I completely agree.  I have felt so much better since I joined this forum.  My whole outlook has improved and I'm getting valuable advice.

I agree wholeheartedly! This forum is helpful on so many levels - I can't believe it took me so long to find it. I learn something most everyday, and am reassured by the kindness, acceptance and compassion shown by the members, most especially the moderators.

A big thanks! (good idea, Austen!)

When I first came here I felt the same way. I was part of the family the first time I posted. That's why I wanted to share my time helping out. I worked on a different online forum years related also...and it was a nightmare. It came from the owner...down and eventually it failed. The owner of this site, Peter, starts the love and it trickles down to everyone.

I've never posted on another Forum, but I did get on one about knee replacement and it would go for two or three days before anyone answered or even checked in.
I'm so glad I found this site when I first was dxd. with Fibro.
I feel so much love and caring here.  Thanks Moderators for all your work.
God Bless!

I think they have the best moderators on this forum, personally.

Like Chutz, when I found this forum everyone made me feel so welcome and part of the family from the first post on. It is my pleasure to give back some of the kindness I have been shown. And if I can give Sherrine a hard time at least once a day that is even better.
This is a special forum where we hold each other up when we are down and share the joy when good things happen. That's what makes us family.
Thanks girls!!

I had the same experience when I first joined. I felt so accepted by all of the warm and wonderful people. I feel that I have learned a lot and grown from it.

And the members here are so wonderful. They (you all) make this forum work. You are all so kind and compassionate. Also you bring a little humor to the site, and we all know that laughter is the best medicine, so they say. So give yourselves a pat on the back. And remember we need you too.

Have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Karen...

I had never been on a forum before so when the fibro got really bad I started looking for help and I luckily found this forum.  The mods were so helpful and so were the members!  The more I participated I saw that the people here really do care about one another.  Because of this, this forum has grown in leaps and bounds and I'm so happy that we are here for one another.  Thanks, everyone!  ...even you, Marlee!  devil turn
