hubby is having MAJOR surgery monday morning

His colon ruptured back in may, and he had a colostomy done, and now they are reversing it, but it a high risk surgery.. high for infection, fever, leakage from the reversal site.and much more
please pray for him, and me.. its gonna be hard to take care of him with my joints hurting so badly!!

Hi Cori I'm not sure I have welcomed you. I'm so sorry your DH is having to go through this. I had a foot of colon removed because of divertiticulitis years ago and it's not fun. I was lucky that mine had not ruptured all the way. I didn't have to have a colostomy.
You and your DH will be in my prayers. If all goes well this shouldn't be as bad as the rupture. So we will keep praying.
Take care of yourself too and try to get plenty of rest.

Cori, I'm praying for a quick recovery for your husband.  They have techniques that help keep infection at bay so, if you are at a good hospital, I wouldn't be ultra concerned.  Let us know how he does.
