I'm starting to question whether or not my other problems with my health lately other than pain can all somehow be intertwined... on and off for about 3 months now I get these really bad pains in my stomach that go right through to my back (though sometimes I can' t tell if it's actually pains from my back radiating through to my stomach) and I will feel really really nauseaus and dizzy and the pain will go up my spine to the point of sweating and shakind and I can't even speak - then I will get unbelieviable bad bathroom cramps and sometimes can go, sometimes cant.  I've noticed that I can tell when this is going to happen because the night before I start burping a foul gas that has a very distinct odor to it (eew, SO darn gross to talk about!!)  I hadn't mentioned this to my pain DR before because I didn't think that it was related to everything else that has been going on, but now I'm starting to think that it is--especially since it's all been happening within the same timeframe.

I would mention it to your pain doctor. It probably is related, but you never know. I know that IBS is a symptom of Fibro. Your doc will at least be able to give you something to help manage the problem.

I have never had the trouble you have had, but did have IBS for years before I was diagnosed with Fibro. Now, I am constipated all the time from my meds, but Metamucil has helped that.

Denial - have you noticed any correlation between what you eat and these symptoms? I've been reading some articles on gluten free diets and fibro. If you can believe what you read on the internet and I realize you can't believe it all, there are people with FM that are going gluten free and saying their symptoms are remarkably better...just curious if you've tried this...thanks,
