Welcome, Guesswhat and Amber Jo, to the fibromyalgia forum. I started this thread because I didn't want to "highjack" Mazfire's fog thread. I'm so glad you found us and joined in.

Fibromyalgia isn't an inflammatory illness...at least that's what the doctors are telling us right now. If you really have inflammation in your joints, it is probably some other problem. But, the pain from fibromyalgia can FEEL like inflammation. Your doctor or a rhuematologist can run tests and tell you if you do have inflammation going on. They can also help rule out other illnesses. If everything is negative, then a diagnosis of fibromyalgia is usually given.
