Welcome to HW. Glad you found us.

I have been on Lyrica for about 14 months now. I have seen positive results, but given that I have been on it so long, I really cant tell if Im better or not. I am about to see about getting off of it, and then I'll know if it was helping or not! If I start doing worse, then I will get back on it. But, different people react differently. The only way of knowing is to try it. You may have side-effects, some worse than others. Some people can tolerate it til they go away, some cant. It all just depends on the person.

You will find several posts already on this subject, those may help you some more. Many people have described there side-effects and all of that, so it may help you to search for them.

Hope you figure things out and find some relief! Best wishes! And feel free to post as needed, we are here for ya
Lyrica(14 months) and Paxil(about 6+- months)-both helping some, but would like to see better results

I was on Lyrica for about a year. I quit it last August because it was making me drowsy all day long. It definately contributed to the "FOG" factor. I do not believe that I received any benefit from the Lyrica and feel more "aware" now that I am not taking it.

Hope this helps

Hi, I am new to this forum as well and wanted to let you know my experience regarding Lyrica. I absolutely swear by it. I have fibro and, before, I was so listless and hurt so bad. I take two 300-mg pills per day and it has helped ease my pain tremendously as well as give me more energy. However, it does take about two weeks to get into your system. It won't help if you just take it for a few days and give up. I do know that it works different on different people, though, as it did not help my aunt. I wish you good luck on it and I hope it really helps you out like it did me.
