I've been taking Amitriptyline for every night now for 6 or 7 months, before starting it I couldn't sleep more than 3 or 4 hours. With it I actually get a full 8 hours, and have noticed a little less morning stiffness as well. It took a couple of months but the antidepressants in it combined with getting a full nights rest have definitely helped me. The only kind of side effect I would say is kind of a morning fogginess, seems to take my brain an hour or so to start working lol.

I'm not familiar with cymbalta ...... I take a daily pain med. called tramacet that has also helped me to manage a lot better.

Take Care

Hi Glo- I take ultram and cymbalta, a combination I have been on for a few years now, and it works well for me.
