Just an update on my visit with the chiropractic center. :-)
It was a good visit!  I've been there twice thus far.  I still have pain in my leg, like my chin is still numb and I still can't put all my weight on it.  I can sit, use the potty without crying and I started walking more without the use of my cane today. tongue   I will be seeing the chiro doc on monday again, really nice, funny guy.  He seems to be understanding of my highly touch sensitivity I have.  We talked about Fibro and he says he has a few Fibro patients.  One other thing is he hasn't just wanted to adjust my back, he has been concentrating on my leg.  It's all nerve problems, so we are working on getting the muscles to calm down and release b/4 he gets involved with the root of my hip problems I normally have.
To fill anyone in on what this is all about....two weeks ago my whole leg just hurt SO bad (sharp pain, burning, grabbing, pulling twitching of muscles throughout, numbness).  I couldn't walk for 6 days, so my recliner and I molded into one. smilewinkgrin    Needless to say I was off work for a week and half.  I watched lots of "How clean is your house?" and Gordon Ramsey's, Kitchen Nightmares. yeah
I have been here at work this week.  I came in late the first 2 days this week, but other than that I made it!! It's Friday! :-)    Got my heating pad and I have had lots of help around me, all I had to do was ask.  That's been nice.  My dh works with me, so he would get my lunches and carry my purse and such, boy I am sooo lucky.  Walking up and down these 4 steps to my office area has been a chore though.  Oh, yeah the "handicap" bar in the bathroom has been handy. smilewinkgrin
Well back to work for me, still catching up on paperwork, never ending.....

Hi Lori, I was just thinking about you this morning and wondering how things went at the chiro center. I am so glad for you to hear that it has gone well so far. I understand about the dr not just adjusting your back. The chiro I go to actually does little of what I would consider to be "standard" chiro adjustments, (not that I know much about it) but concentrates on my hip and my shoulder most. Yes i do have back issues but I have multiple orthopedic type problems also so just doing back adjustments would not be too helpful for me. I have learned that chiros, like physical therapists, have many different types of therapies at their disposal and you just need to find the right one whose skills and interests can help you the most. I'll keep hoping for a good outcome for you.   Lisa
