Just curious if any of you have a dry, hacking cough. It seems to get worse in the evenings and when I lay down. My husbanc says is sounds like a smokers cough...I have never smoked! Sometimes my throat does feel scratchy. I have dealt with this on and off since December.
Just wanted to know if this another part of the fibro??

I have that dry. hacking cough, I'm a none smoker and nothing will stop the cough but a cough drop. Would also like to know where it came from. I won't go away.

I don't know about you, but I have a very dry mouth and sometimes I have a cough, just from the lack of saliva.  Dry mouth and eyes are symptoms of fibro...just a thought.

Have you been checked for asthma or GERD?  I have both, and both can cause a dry, smoker's type cough.  My asthma is usually worse at night, and my GERD is worse when lying down.  Also, my allergist says that my GERD makes my asthma worse. It makes trying to sleep lots of fun. rolleyes
Just FYI, I also don't have the typical wheezing with my asthma, just the cough and chest tightness, so you can have it even if you are just noticing a cough.
Hope you are feeling better soon.
