What home excersice routine do you do, and why do you like it?

I love the Leslie Sansone walk DVD's. She is so encouraging it really helps me to stay motivated.

I have two of hers so far.

The Walk Diet, which is easy and low impact.
Walk Slim, faster paced, great music it has 1-4 miles you can do.

I also have 10 minute solution fitnessBall workouts. This one has 4 10 minute areas I can work. I can choose to do only one or choose to do all 4.

I live on a hill so last year before it became to cold I walked a mile. But I hate cold..go figure..LOL I am hoping to start that again here soon.

I use the Leslie Sansone walking video, too, when I can't get out and walk.  It does really help to keep moving with fibro.  I try to walk at least a mile a day with my dog and I do a lot of walking around the house, in stores, etc.  It's an exercise I can do without causing me pain.  I also swim...but I float a lot too!  devil

I use an elliptical machine, that I purchased a little over three years ago and I use it faithfully. It's good because it doesn't put any stress on joints. I also walk outside, but when I am having a bad pain day, I can still use the elliptical.

I walk/jog on the treadmill (that I got for free from Craig's list!) and I have Pilates DVDs. I love both and it's been a total answer to my fibro pain.

Yoga. I took a lot of classes so I am comfortable on my own. The gentle stretches help with the pain, flexibility, and balance.

I do Yoga stretches when I first get out of bed and also walk on my treadmill every day for no less then 30 minutes. Both things have really helped cut down my stiffness and fatigue and have also helped even out my moods and lessen my anxiety.

My husband wants to get me/US a Wii Fit...! I'd like to have that. Although I haven't done any research on that.

Currently all I do is walk. We walk around the town Cemetary as it's the safest place to walk around here that has lots of space and it's safe from the traffic...

I walk my dog at least a little bit every day. She is little, and I can attach a leash to my wrist or (better yet) a belt if I have one on and then to her harness (instead of her collar), so she won't pull me and get loose. If I can make it down the block and back I'm happy, and we each get a taste of fresh air and smelling new things!

I try to walk as much as I can... I would love to do yoga, but I just can't concentrate long enough to do it. At least when I'm walking I have a destination (or I won't walk) to go to and get back from.

My son and I walk through our local zoo 3 times a wk (takes 1.5 hrs) the 4 days I don't walk, we go swimming and I do yoga everyday. The zoo days hurt omg do they, but my daily goal is to physically exhaust myself so when I go to bed, I sleep. And most days I do.

I push a double stroller 4 - 5 dys a wk, about a mile. I also chase little ones M thru F. (I do day care) I am up and down the stairs several times a day. All this is enough to almost kill me! I tried the Leslie Sasone 3 mile Walk video, but, it was too painful on my hips, I had to quit. That's about it for me. I used to love exercising but as the Fibro has gotten more advanced, it takes the fun out of it. they say that exercising can make you feel better, but so far, it only hurts more. I've found that even when I am consistent and keep it up for a good length of time, my symptoms don't fade.
