These past couple of weeks have been tough. First, my wonderful BIL passed away. He and my big sis would have been married 52 yrs the end of this month. He had been in my life since I was about 2. He was such a good man, I always thought of him as my brother, not an 'in-law'. My sister and their children are devastated. My mother has been w/ me for the past few weeks again, so we brought her to the funeral home.  She was so upset, he always spoiled her.
I guess the extra stress of his passing, taking care of my mother, and then just feeling done in have caused me a big problem. I had an appt w/ my PCP, telling her about some problems I had the other day. She said she thinks I had a mini stroke. I thought at first I was going low sugar, but I think she is right. I am going to have a CT on my head. I also have to have extensive blood work done. I also have another dr appt this wk w/ ENT. My DM is scheduled for an endoscopy this wk and my sister will have to take her, I can't even drive.
I have been testing myself to see if there are any 'losses', so far I haven't noticed any, but time will tell. I will be optimistic and believe that things will work out. I do not plan to give in. I have plans for my life and things to do. I want to live my life and God willing, I will!
I'm tired, it has been a long day, so I will close for now. You are all in my thought and prayers.  I wish you all a good night.
God bless.  Alice.

Alice, I'm so sorry about your brother-in-law.  You have really been having a tough time.  Things always seem to come in bunches and hopefully your life will start to settle down soon.
I had a neighbor who had a mini stroke and he knew he had it because he passed out.  He spent one day in the hospital and has been fine since.  There was absolutely no damage and, Alice, this was around 20 years ago!  So, this might be what you had.  They are called a TIA.  (transient ischemic attack)  It's good that you are finding out for sure but, if you haven't noticed any affects, then you probably won't.  I'll be praying that you are just fine.
You take it easy now.  I'm glad you have family around that can help you.

Alice, I, too, am so sorry to hear about your BIL...........
Hope your health will be on the upswing again soon. Stress takes such a toll on fibromites. BTW I had a TIA several years ago and have had no residual effects from it. Nor have I had another one so far, thank goodness!
Please post again when you can. We care and are thinking about you..........
Luv ya

Alice I'm so sorry!!! It never seems to end for you. shakehead I so hope the CT shows no damage. I wish there was a way to take some of the burden off of you and give you a break. I've known people that have had light strokes and gone on to live normal lives.
You will be in my prayers dear friend.
luv and hugs

Hi Alice,
I would like to add my deepest sympathies as well. I agree with the others that, right now is the time to be gentle, kind and forgiving of yourself.
I have had to get through the lose of several people that I was very close to.
I had to use an anti-anxeity meds for a while. It really helped me through.

Please accept many wonderful, healing thoughts.... from all of us!
