I am sure you all have seen the ad for the three pound Shark Steam Cleaner where this woman glides it across the floor with ease with this big fat smile on her face because it's just such an electronic miracle...Well, I bought one and was screaming for mercy after three swipes. First of all, it is designed for tall people.  I had to hold the handle up to my chin to push it.  The micro-fiber pad is rough and 'sticks to the floor' to trap the dirt and I had to push with all my might.  I finally had my husband do the hardwoods and he said it was hard to push but is 6 feet tall so he could use it at the right angle.  I think I read on a post awhile ago where someone said they loved it.  Must be me...I am going to give it too my son and DIL for Christmas.  It seems the 'guarantee that you will love it or your money back' only applies to those who buy it with the rug attachment off the t.v. ad.  I have used the pads and bought it at K-mart, which is going out of business where I live.
I am always looking for things that make cleaning less painful.  This product is right up there  Dr. Franks spray.

Thanks for the warning, Donna.  I use the Shark sweeper for my tile floors for quick pick-ups but it isn't a thorough cleaner, either.  It definitely can't handle carpeting very well.  It just skims off the top of it.  Those ads always make things look wonderful, don't they?

Hi Donna,

I got a lazor shark vacuum a few years ago. It was strong but the tank was way too small. I gave it away. I was suppose to get some free items for quick shipping. I never saw them and they would never send them to me. I got really ripped off.

Hugs, Karen
