Congratulations on the wonderful news!  That's exciting and it's great that you love her too.

Try counting carbohydrates.  You probably won't lose that much but you definitely will lose weight...painlessly!

100 lbs....hmmmm, good luck on that one. Talk with your doc about it, maybe he can help you work out a plan of action.

Needing to lose weight (like I do too) is NOT a reflection on what kind of person you are. Beauty and happiness DON'T have dress sizes. Congratulations on your son's new junction in life!

Congratulations on the news!  I know it's an exciting time.
Back about 13 years ago when my oldest son got married I too wanted to loose a lot of weight.  Unfortunately that's when phen phen was at it's peak and my dr. prescribed it for me.  I lost 35 lbs. in two months and thought it was the best thing since peanut butter.
Than the news was everywhere that they were taking it off the market.  Wouldn't you know it?  When things were really looking good and I thought I might be able to loose another 50 lbs. I couldn't get it any more.  Too bad!  I would have just gained it back when I did quit taking it.
Enjoy your new daughter-in-law and rememberl.......She will be the one helping pick out your nursing home one of these days.  Isn't that a happy thought?  I have 4 of them and love them every one.
Of all the things that I have lost, I miss my mind the most!!!!

Congratulations!!!  I just love weddings!  :-)
As far as the weight goes, first I want to say that you are beautiful no matter what size you are.  Having said that though, I understand the desire to lose, since I've been fighting that battle most of my adult life (especially post fibro).
Have you tried Weight Watchers?  They have an online program for only $16.95 a month, which is a lot cheaper than attending the meetings.  I've been using it for a couple of months, and it's really been helpful to me just by helping me keep track of what and how much I'm actually eating.
Best Wishes!

Congratulations..How exciting! Yes, I am with the weight watchers. You can do it on line and not have to go to meetings. I lost 70lbs on it. But it took me abou a year, maybe abit less. But I have kept it off for 2 years. I will say I agree with the girls, about dress size.
