For the last two years I've been experiencing what I call the walkies.. I only get it at seems to start like restless leg syndrom.. My toes start to feel funny, a cringing.. Nail on the chalkboard feeling.. In minutes it travels up my legs.. Sometimes into my hands.. Where my legs jerk and hands start to fold into fists... I have to get up out of bed and my brain just tells me to walk, walk, walk.. It could be at three in the morning and I can wake up walking around the couches" asleep" it takes hours to calm down. I'll sit and my legs just kill me... I'll bounce them. Stretch them.. But it just gets worse till I get up and walk.. I've tried muscle relaxers, panic type meds, sleeping meds, warm bathes, trying to lay still and fight it, requip.. Even smoking a little pot... Nothing works!!!! My feet get hot and I've even gone outside to soak them in the pool.... Doesn't work.. After a couple hours I'll try to sit or lay down for like the50th time and will finally fall asleep.... Anyone else have this??? Seems like it's been worse since my back surgery but I don't know if that has anything to do with it... Dr looks at me like I'm nuts and says he's never heard of rls being that bad, so what the heck else could it be???

lol this happens to me all the time ... if I can't sleep I go take a walk or do dishes or something until i'm tired enough to sleep ... i literally have to exhaust myself before i can sleep at all.
But then I am always exhausted all day long ... it's not fair!
