well this is my story i was diagnosed w/ fms about 6 years ago. i had 5 sinus infections, bad ones in one year and i think that is what started it. well i have another sinus infection which i have not gotten since.
my story went to see a rheummy w/ no help with the pain. he sent me to a shrink. ha ha ha. i seen him for the last 5 years and was up to 10 pills per day from him. finally without knowing i took all my pills. you think a dr. is there to help you. well then i seen a pain dr. because my rhuemmy did nothing for the pain. the dr. if you want to call him that had me on methadone for the pain.
well my subconcious got the best of me and i took all my pills. i was taken to a hospital then to a nut farm, nothing againest it i just did not belong there, hec i don't even remember taking the pills.
then my galbladder gave me problems. so end of this story i was in 4 hospitals in 2 months.
my fibro comes and goes and i hate it so bad. today is a bad day. i try to eat well and exercise but i am not taking anymore pills.
oh by the way i was also diagnosed with bipolar. it is bad really bad.
i need help from people who know what i am going through, i hate to complain to my family and thank god i have ssdi or i will be up the creek without a paddle.
my family uses me because i don't work. like babysitting my sister's kids. 3 of them the youngest is 1 1/2 and it kills me. my mom moved in her and she is nothing but a mess, like sloppy. my mom so half helps with the kids but i can't take this  anymore.
i need suggestions.

welcome to the board. you have been through a bit of a rough time over the years and the only way you can get any peace is to accept your problems and then set about alleviating them.

You can see my ailments in my signature beneath, so i can indentify somewhat. I have coped on/off with depression but anxiety is a bigger problem. Enough about me then...

First off you need to set ground rules with your family treating you like a housekeeper/babysitter/gimmegofor. You need to be aware that you deserve to give yourself time to come to terms with your dissabilities and should be respected by others to to so.

Your sister shouln't be leaving you with her kids if you're unwell. I say this as i constantly minded my two nephews, thier mother wasn't even working, she was just running away from herself as she has severe depression. I have not abandoned her, but now she has to take her shopping trips and weekends away to suit my schedule. I also have a cancelation clause with her, if i'm too sick when the day comes, then so be it.

You'r mom can help you around the house, tell her she needs to respect your place. I always say, ''i'm not trying to start an argument, but it would work better if we........, or at least meet me half way''. That's if they're the defensive type.

My oldest sister is bi polar. She has learned to live with her condition with meds and living a quiet life. Everything has to be hept routine and she tries to lie low when she's in hypomania. I don't know how bad you get, so that may be a little ott. She usually ends up on the ''funny farm'' at least once a year, but it is the only place she or her family can cope with the situation.

So, being only my opinion, continue with the exercise and good diet, leave the past where it belongs..behind you, and try to find the courage to keep going and doing your bit. I usually tell my sister, all you have to do is live, you don't owe anyone any explanations.

I hope you feel better soon, keep in touch, boo

Hi, Janelle, and welcome!  I'm glad to see that you aren't taking pills right now.  That can be such a dangerous thing if you take things and don't remember doing it!
You have come to a good place, though.  We have wonderful members that love to help one another and we really do care about each other, too.  We DO understand the pain and fatigue of fibromyalgia and live it every day, too.  Be sure to ask questions.  We will try to help you get a handle on this illness and learn to live a full and enjoyable life with fibro.
We do have a wonderful Bipolar forum here on HealingWell, along with a Depression forum.  At the top of this page you see Forum Quick Jump.  Scroll down and you will see them and if you highlight one and click on it, it will take you to that forum.  They will be able to help you too!
Be sure to check out the Fibro 101 thread...the second thread on the forum.  There are links to good information about fibro.  You will learn a lot there.  Also, reading back posts will give you even more info.
I'm so glad that you found us and joined in.  I hope to hear more from you soon!
