Do any of you have "that one chair" that everyone knows to stay out of because it's yours alone? I have a green lazy-boy - and it's all mine. It's the only chair in the world where I have the least pain. Do you search at your friend's homes to find a comfortable chair for yourself....or at other places? I often have to leave early because I'm in so much pain from someone else's chair. I find this to be one of the most inconvenient things about having fibro. It's one of the reasons I don't like to go places as much as I used to. Tell me about your chair.

I have two places that are comfy for me, but not for long periods of time.  If I'm watching a movie, I'll sit in one place for half the movie and then switch seats.
I know all about pain from other people's furniture.  It's horrible, isn't it?  I start squirming because I'm just so uncomfortable and keep thinking about home.  I do find that the firmer, straighter-backed chairs work better for me.

I have a nice soft leather lounger that has a dent in from my hinney.  The hubby sits in it only when I have not claimed it.  I played bridge the other night at a friends house and the chairs were those hard windor type chairs with no cushions.  I kept standing up and walking around and when I got home my back was killing me, and my butt.'s hard to visit when all the furniture has no padding!

I jokingly call my favorite chair the electric chair, I keep it in my office. It is a comfy
swivel rocker with a Homemedics ****zu massage pad on it. I get a 15 minute
full back massage with it. I usually use it a couple times a day. I'd be lost without it.
When I am really hurting, I sit in it, close my eyes and listen to some good music.

Oh yes, I have my "MAGIC" chair.  It is an electric Sanyo chair that reclines and massages, stretches, kind of kneads and thumps.  I love it and use it every night before I go to bed.
I hate going some places because of the sitting.  We have a friend with a media room with reclining theater seats.  I just can't go there anymore.  I know they don't understand-the last time was horrible.   I wound up standing up, trying to explain how uncomfortable I was (in their very expensive seats).  Come to think of it, they haven't invited us back since then. devil
My biggest pain is actually my butt and thighs and this is hard for some people to get.

My favorite chair is my lazyboy rocker recliner. I think I spend more time in there than I do in my bed. It's the place I go at night when my muscles are jumping all over the place and where I go with the hot water bottle during the day. Nobody else ever sits in it. (I think they know better) I also don't go to other peoples houses very often because they just don't have that piece of furniture that helps to relieve the pain.

I like to sit in this stupid chair I bought at Walmart for 25 bucks. It's comfy and it's like material that hangs and conforms. I sit there when I'm outside smoking or outside reading...or when we go to the Drive-In.

I am so bad about my chair's, yes two that I get annoyed when anyone else sits in them. My office chair especially. I want it to confo9rm to my butt and back and no one Else's or I will have to change it yet again. I also have a straight back recliner that is mine alone. I live alone so it is easier to keep people to the couch or the other chair. I hate going anywhere because I know restaurant chairs, friends houses, mom's and brothers and so on will leave me in excruciating pain. Also if anyone stays over they get my couch or the floor, I do not give up my bed for anyone.

I'm another LazyBoy fan. I have a soft, buttery leather one that just fits me like a glove. Sometimes when I just can't get comfortable in bed, I even sleep in it (like this week.)

I don't have a chair that's mine, but I do have a section of the couch that's totally off limits to everyone else. Even the cat knows not to sit there.

Luckily, the couch is leather and so bounces back quickly. If it weren't, you'd totally be able to see my but imprint right on it, I'm sure.

I get the plaid loveseat, which reclines on each side; BF gets the rust-colored loveseat, which he lies on and dangles feet over the side. And we both put our feet up!

The couch is mine, I sit in this corner with my laptop in front of me, I lay down with head at other end to watch TV but I hate this couch and can't wait til Tique cuts all her teeth and I'm sure neither of them is going to chew on furniture so I can have this nasty thing taken to the curb and replace it and the loveseat.
The sad thing is I have this really comfy couch and loveseats in my living room that no one ever sits on but don't want to put it in the family room til I'm sure it's not going to be used as a teething toy. No humans or animals are allowed in the living room, something doesn't seem right in my mind here.
I have a hard time at other people's homes to. My GD has a glider she rocks the baby in that everyone loves, not me, it hurts my back in a short time.

I have a padded rocker that I used to sit in all the time. The rocking was rather peaceful. My 'Evil Puppy' would sit in my chair anytime I wasn't in it. Now I can't sit in the chair, too uncomfortable, I guess the 'EP' feels the same way, since he doesn't sit there anymore, either. I have been sitting on the couch w/ many pillows behind and around my back. Guess who sits there when I'm not on the couch? Good guess!! I don't know if he has FMS, too, or if its just he must be where my scent is, I dunno. lol

I have a lovely dining room set, to be able to sit in my chair I have to use bed pillows, under and behind me, and no, the dog doesn't sit there.

I have added new decor to the car, more pillows. I have a hard time visiting anyone, as I can't get comfortable in their chairs. Too hard, too soft, too low, etc. I try to be pleasant company, but I can't stay too long, I hurt too much.

God bless.  Alice.
