Last week I asked for prayers for a little boy in our area that had been kicked by a horse. Thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers. He survived his stroke, but then needed another operation b/c his brain swelled. He is now stable, and has even regained his hearing, but not his sight in his remaining eye. His classmates made him cards to send to him. But now that they heard he can hear again, they made an audio tape to send as well, each with a message. He has a long road ahead of him to recover, but at least he will be again with his family. This whole thing just breaks my heart. Had I told you he was supposed to come to our house for a sleepover with my youngest ds? The summer just flew by, we had a death in the family... we never did get around to it. I feel so guilty, I hope he didn't think we didn't want him :(

I am so thankful that little boy is going to make it. I hope his road to recovery is a
smooth one. I will continue to keep him in my prayers. How great that his classmates
made him a tape and sent cards. The power of prayer is strong!

Please do not feel guilty that you were not able to have him over for a sleep over.
You were dealing with a death in the family and needed time to grieve.
Think of the future when he will be better and be able to spend time at your home.

Mamanan, I'm glad he is now on the mend.  I'll be praying that his sight will come back, too.  If he had swelling in the brain, maybe once it is all gone, the vision will return.  Nerves that are pinched can take a little time to get better.

Robin is right.  You shouldn't feel guilty.  He will be better and you will have your opportunity to have him then.  He will need the support more now.

I hope that his healing continues to go well. I pray that he will regain his sight. It is a sad thing when a child goes through such an ordeal. I really hope that everything continues to improve. Keep us posted on his progress.
'Cause when push comes to shove
you taste what you're made of.
You might bend til you break
'cause it's all you can take.
On your knees you look up
decide you've had enough.
You get mad.
You get strong.
Wipe your hands
shake it off.
Then you stand.
