Hi everyone.
I've missed being on the forum.  We had to put a new roof on our house and I was hoping my hubby would hire someone to do it, but I guess that was wishful thinking.  I was so stressed out and in so much pain from lack of sleep and worry, plus cooking two meals a day for 10 people  for the past seven days, that I couldn't even think straight.  I wanted to do this for him because he has had to do things for me that I have a hard time doing now.  I pushed myself to the limit and now I am paying the price.  The last couple of days since  they finished the roof I have had a hard time doing anything.  Lots of back pain and having troulble sleeping and the just about every part of my body is screaming out in pain.
I wanted to come on and talk about this, but by the time everyone left at about 9:30  p.m. (they had been here since 8:00 a.m.) I was so exhausted that I would go and sit on my chair with the ho***er bottle and that was all I could do.
Well thanks for letting me vent a little and I'm sure in a few days I will be back to my sort of normal self and just the usual fibro fog.  Oh by the way, the roof looks great.
Have a great day!

Give yourself a huge pat on the back!  You did it!  yeah    It wasn't in your plans but you wanted to help any way you could.  It was difficult and you are paying a price right now, but you will get better soon.  I'm really proud of you.  You stuck with it and accomplished what you set out to do!
I've been scrubbing baseboards for two days.  My back is a mess but, when I look at the clean baseboards, I smile.  It was worth the pain.  I had a gentle massage today to help and I'm feeling better.  If you know of a good massage therapist, they can help you work the kinks out.  Rest, use moist heat, and you will be back on your feet feeling better.

Hi Sherrine
Thanks for the kind words.  I really do feel good that I could help him by cooking the meals for them.  I know that in a few days with rest and exercise I truly will be feeling like my old self again.  It really does help to tell people who know what you are going through how you feel.  I didn't want to tell hubby how awful I felt because he was stressed enough with having an open roof and hoping that the weather holds out (It did)
Isn't it a good feeling when you look at your baseboards and they are all sparkly clean.  Good job to you too and give yourself a pat on the back too.

Same deal here. Don't remember when I last had a complete thought. Woke Sat. AM to son and three friends scattered around back yard all broken and bloody. Picked up all the pieces and took em to hospital. Waiting all Sat. to hear. Sunday is my Market Day. Yesterday, although Labor day, I napped around 10AM due to poor sleep from worry, awoke to 4" of toilet water all through-out my apartment. Got that cleared up in time to try and get some sleep before taking aging sick father 250 miles drive to oncologist. Found more cancer. Currently on auto-piolet. Thank-you.
