Hi Barb!!

And welcome to our family! You have come to the right place if you are looking for friendship, understanding and information. Without this place I would be a wreck and the pain would most likely be much worse. Please stick around and join our daily Koffee Klatchs you see listed. Also on Thursday evenings we have an open, live chat that is a lot of fun. We start about 6 PM Pacific, 9 PM Eastern. I will post every Thursday morning with all of the details.

Keep in touch!
Children will not remember you for the material things you provided but for the feeling that you cherished them.

Hi, Barb, and welcome!  I'm so glad you found us and joined in.  We have a great group of people that love to help one another and we really do care about each other, too.  Of course we totally understand what living with fibro is like.
Be sure to read the Fibro 101 thread...the first thread on the forum.  There are links to good information about fibro and you will learn a lot there.  I'm still learning new things with this illness.
You do need to keep moving with fibro.  If you sit or lay too much, you will be stiff as a board.  There are some good gentle stretching exercises on Fibro 101 that really do help.  Also, find some gentle exercises that you can do.  This really does help with pain.  I walk and swim.  I always feel better after some light exercise.
Have you ever tried malic acid/magnesium supplements?  I use these and they have helped me with pain and fatigue.  There is a link in Fibro 101 about these and how they work in your body.  Also, many with fibro are also deficient in Vitamin D3.  This can cause pain, also.  There is a link about Vitamin D in Fibro 101.
Don't hesitate to ask questions.  We are here to help you.  I'm happy you are here and am looking forward to getting to know you.  Hope to hear from you soon!
I added a title to this thread so you would get more response. That's why it says I "edited" your post.
