We're headed to a new naturepathic doctor tomorrow in a town 120 miles from here.  I don't feel hopeful, but we'll see what happens. I  don't feel hopeful because it's the 12th doc in 11 months.

Finding a doctor is time consuming, frustrating and also can be disappointing once you get there.  I went to an internist, a neuro, rhuemy, a chiropractor and even a gyno before a reluctant dx of fibro....over the course of four or five years.  Back when I was having my worst symptoms there was no such thing as fibro and a rheumy finally dx'd me with myofascial pain/fibrotitis (which was the old term for fibromyalgia).  Of course I got plenty of eye rolling, but everything else had been ruled out after a billizion tests.  My new rheumy believes in it, yet has no clue about the side effects of the drugs he prescribes.  It can be such an expensive and grueling process...but hang in there and I hope you get some answers from your new doc.

The Dr she visited spent 1 1/2 hours with her asking lots of questions, listening very intently & going through her old med records. She's going to check into heavy metal poisoning & lymes further. We liked her very much, my daughter goes back in 2 weeks. Hopefully the new meds will help.
