It's the weekend and for us it's time to have little grandsons spend the night. They do love it but I sure to get tired. It's a good tired, sort of. I think we all understand what 'good tired' or good stress are. What do those words mean to you?

For me, good tired is when I've been outside during the day getting some things accomplished. I'm beat but at least I can see some results from my labor. Even if I have to stay indoors I feel good after I've shuffled around some furniture, vacuumed the carpet and made the place look better with a little human muscle. Good stress is making a birthday cake for my daughter and her gang in 3 days...and I'm looking forward to it. But I will be tired and a gain will have that good feeling. This year her birthday cake will be cheesecake!

What is 'good stress' to you?

Friday nights, round about this time, knowing I worked every day at work this week, did a good job, and am not falling-down tired, but good-tired.

How appropriate this morning to read this topic. Yesterday I made my husbands very favorite cake for his birthday. Honestly, I wondered if I could get it done and I did it in very gradual stages. It was beautiful and deeeelicious. White cake with pureed raspberry filling and whipped cream frosting. Wish you could have been here. Indeed it was made with love and a great deal of "good stress".

Many warm hugs. Patsie

Trying out a new recipe that takes some effort - even though I don't feel like doing it at all. I always feel good afterwards. :)

Oh Patsie send me a piece of that cake.

I guess good tired or stress is when you do something fun like stay out a little late, go shopping for a cute outfit or take a walk on the beach.  It is relaxing yet it does wear you out a bit.

We have a birthday party (must be a theme here today) to go to tonight for my brother in law.  Feel very bad so far this am but will still go.  So that would be good tired or good stress to deal with it but you want to go because it is important.  Just be careful and maybe not stay as long as you may like.

Have a great Saturday All

Having all 3 grandkids for a few days. Taking them to the movies, mall crawling and breakfast and lunch.
It's knowing they'd rather stay with me than go home. "Do I really have to go home?" Love it.

When I was in my late twenties, I did something I always dreamed of doing.  I bought a horse.  I had been riding for a bit and leasing horses and learning all I could.  I got an unbroken three year old.  I broke him my self. After more than 17 years I still have him.  He is something special.  It has been hard to make sure he has all he needs as he is not at my house.  I have had two children since getting him and of course I was diagnosed with MS.
My horse seems to know that I am different.  I use him as my cane while I am at the stables.  I hold on to his mane and lead him with my other hand.  He walks more slowly (although being 20 might be part of that ;).  He has ALWAYS been gentle to ride.  I am so very very thankful I am still riding him.
After spending a morning with him, I am always exhausted.  Sometimes I have to force myself to get down there.  Once I am there, I always enjoy myself.  That is my good stress.

"Good tired" means to me enjoying activities with family and friends. It also means
getting my house cleaned, making a great meal or getting some good exercise!
