I don't know about you but I need some rest and Saturday is THE day for it. I love to sleep in...not too late...but to get up when I feel like it. Then I do turn on our local PBS station because they have back to back quilting/sewing shows from 8 AM until after noon. I first check on hubby. He's either busy on his computer or is outside puttering with chores. So I fix myself some breakfast, take my morning meds, pile in my recliner and watch quilting shows. Ahhh, that's relaxing in my book.

What is your idea of a restful Saturday morning?

Hmm, this is hard..I don't think I've had a relaxing Saturday (or any other day) since I had kids. I think It would be nice to curl up on the couch with a good book, maybe read for a couple hours then get my easel out and set up on the back porch for some painting.

Oh how I wish I could sleep in but the body won't let me, I was up at 6:00. Most Sat are pretty much like any other day for me but today we have two of the grandson's birthday party two hours away so it is going to be a long tiring day for me.
luv and hugs

I love to sit in my recliner and read.  I have not so good eyes now.  I have mild nystagmus that my brain has adjusted to except for reading.   My poor eyes just don't track like they used to.  A year or so ago my husband got me a kindle.  I can adjust the text size to HUGE and just read for hours like I used to.
I don't sleep in to late.  I get up by 7 even on Saturday and Sunday.  I love to get some breakfast and coffee and then into that recliner with my kindle.  A nice three hour read is a great way to start the weekend!!!
This morning I am off to get my 15 year old son to his scuba class.  They are doing a guided practice dive off of corona del mar (Cal)  this morning.  Brrrrrrr.  That sounds cold!!  I will sit in the car with my kindle.
PS...I love this board!  Thanks for having me.

Wake up and hubby and son are still sleeping have the house to myself.  Of course that means the tv and laptop haha.  Anyway make me some good strong coffee and some toast and watch the news or a good show I tivoed.  Maybe take the dog out for a walk or play on laptop.  Just have some relaxing quiet time for myself before the loudness and business begins.  :)

I am having the best Saturday ever today! My boyfriend took our son with him to run some errands so I could have some peace and quiet. ( i used to feel guilty admitting how much I loved time away from the two of them, but I think it's time to get over that). I've been doing some cleaning and reading. I love being able to clean at my own pace and being able to take breaks when I want. Normally I have as short period of time during the day when Gavin is asleep, otherwise it isn't going to get done.

I get up about an hour later than usual on workdays, let the dogs out so they don't burst, then go right back to bed and have a leisurely snooze as long as I like. I work between 25-35 hours each week, which feels like a lot by Friday. So I sleep all I want to on the weekend. I never wake up stiff or sore after getting up about 11am. Then I will drink a couple cups of tea, wash the dishes I didn't do all week, read, maybe watch cable TV or chat with friends online then take (yes!) a nap. I just got up from my afternoon nap and ate dinner. I try not to go outside at all if I can help it because it's just too cold.
