Oh wait...that's gobble.  Close enough.
So...I hope everyone is enjoying their Thanksgiving.  When all is said and done, what is the best part of this day?   The of the above?
For me, family of course.  But as I am easily amused at the inane, I find myself captivated by all the men sprawled out on the couch after their monster meals, zonked out on tryptothan (sp?) pretending to be ingrossed in the football marathon.  You will find this a very good time to ask them for money.  It works every year.  Is it the football...the tryptothan?  Who knows.
Have a wonderful day and may we all count our blessings, as there are many.

We won't be with family today but will be with dear friends.  Three of them are 88-90 years old and lots of fun to be with.  We are thankful to be able to share this day with them.  I miss my kids but will see one of them tomorrow and will talk to the other 2 today.  Sure is different from the big family meals I use to  host.  And yes football was a big day for our family of 3 boys (men).
Happy Thanksgiving to all.

The best part of the day will be when the last person leaves. devil I know I'm terrible. I do enjoy having my family here but I will be beat by the time we eat.
The dogs have been in the kitchen looking puzzled, first time they have ever seen me cook and they won't see it again til next Thanksgiving. smilewinkgrin
I hope you all have a great day.
luv and hugs

I'm with Marlee.  Everyone left about an hour ago and I'm practically in a daze.  But, that's it for me for holidays until next Thanksgiving!  I do love having the family though and we all got caught up with one another.  Good times, good food, and hopefully a good night's sleep!

Hi Donna. Happy Thanksgiving to you. I like when we sit down to eat, we say Grace and it always seems to calm me down, after all the rushing around for days of prepping and cooking. We each say what we are thankful for and at the top of our list is each other. We are very blessed.

My DH and sons aren't really into football. My daughter, on the other hand, is a football fanatic, actually any sport. She can tell you anything you want to knowabout the players and the plays. My eyes just glaze over. Boring. My Yankees won the World Series so I'm happy, don't care about the other sports.

There was so much going on w/ everyone rushing around setting up or prepping, my ole puppy decided to get out of the way and take a looong nap in my room. I went in to look for him to be sure he was ok. He was out! I was envious. Dogs are so funny! His answer to anything is 'Nap'.

Hope today was another wonderful day spent w/ ppl you love.

God bless.  Alice.

My favorite time of today was letting my 2 year old son stay up past his bedtime to watch Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving. He was so thrilled with the part where Snoopy fights with the chair! I just sat and watched him giggle and jump up and down. It is so amazing to watch these shows that I have seen a million times through the eyes of a little one. It's all so new to him, and makes me appreciate my life even more!
