I'm just popping in to say "hi" to everyone. I've been in a lot of pain lately (fibro and other issues), and I've kind of withdrawn and isolated myself. I've also been busy with holiday stuff which, as you all know, takes a lot of energy.

I realized this morning that I am missing all of the support here, and I wanted to "see" some familiar faces. I hope you all have had a restful, peaceful holiday season.

Many hugs - Austen

Hi, Austen! I tend to do the same thing myself. I isolate when I get stressed and overwhelmed. I had a friend call me yesterday, hadn't spoken w/ her in awhile, not fight or anything, just me isolating myself. She said, 'I just needed to talk to someone who understands me, and I knew I could count on you'. Well, I lost it, then she lost it and after a bit, we started to laugh. She is going thru a rough patch and just letting the emotions out for her helped her to calm down a bit.
Christmas Eve was different, due to weather and some family attitudes. My 'house' family and I had a lovely evening together, so that is what is most important. We have a very stressful time coming up this coming weekend, I am trying to prepare myself for whatever the end result will be.
I am glad you are back on w/ us, you are missed when you're away. I do hope you're feeling better, between FMS and everything else in life, it can get draining. I wish you a wonderful and healthy New Year!
God bless.  Alice.

Glad you came back to us Austen. smilewinkgrin
I think we all need at least one friend that we can just let it all out to and they feel the same about you.
Alice, I hope your stress isn't too bad this weekend.
I'm hoping and praying for a peaceful long weekend but Ken's brother is in the ICU with very bad bacterial pneumonia in Montana so we will see........this is the third year he has had pneumonia. He is a workaholic and doesn't have much reserves to fight this.
luv and hugs
