Well, I went in for my monthly appointment today and I left on a doubled dose of Lyrica. I am on a low dose he says but I still feel like everytime I leave there my meds have been increased.

I did mention to him my concern over some new symptoms that I am having but, he did not seem concerned. Maybe some of you have some of these issues that I have been experiencing that are new to me:

* Tremors/jerks in my hands. I will be using my mouse on my computer and my hand will all of a sudden jerk. Both hands do it and it started in my leg 3 days ago.

* Numbness/tingling "pins and needles" in my left ear. I had a cyst in that ear (right at the opening of the ear canal) in early February that was lanced and drained. It felt great for about 3 weeks and now it has almost a constant numbness and actually hurts when I lay down.

* Rash I have a rash on my inner left thigh and outer right thigh. It is also on the inside of my right upper arm. An itchy rash like hives.

* My fibro fog is worse than ever. I made myself a coke yesterday morning and DO NOT remember making it. I saw it sitting on the table and asked my DH where it came from. He told me that I had made it before I sat down. I also forgot to brush my teeth this morning. Which is totally out of character for me. I worked for a dentist before I got sick so, I am very orally hygienic.

* Bruise that will not go away. I got a quarter size bruise on my shin mid February that is still there. It has not even faded.

* Dry Mouth

The tremors and the ear numbness are the most worrisome for me. I would appreciate any information or stories you all can share.

Thanks so much!

Hi neeters! I am guessing the rash could be a symptom of the lyrica. The pins and needles
feeling is common with many of us. As you already have found out fog is a part of fibro,
and sometimes our meds add to that. Because you just saw your rheumy today I wouldn't
be too concerned. If your symptoms get worse let your doc know.

You could keep a symptom and pain journal for your next visit. Hope your synptoms
get better!

I can only help with the dry mouth. Some meds can cause that. I didn't think of it as a cause until someone on the forum recommended a mouth wash for it. I use Biotene dry mouth wash. It really helps. I also get rashes sometimes, mostly on my arms and shoulders. I would not worry too much since you were just seen by your doctor. I think I would start a medical journal to keep track of your symptoms and bring it with you next appointment. Hope this is some help to you.

Yes, keeping a journal is one of the smartest things you can do - I've started many.  I've kept up with it for as many as 3-4 days at a time!idea And then - uh - I forget!!  I can sure relate to all of these seemingly unconnected symptoms.  Seems we get into a spiral, something runs us down, and then everything lets us have it at once.  Ugh.
