I guess I've hit my limit for pain recently. Normally I can push through and with the medications I have I can tolerate the pain even if it's pretty high. But over the past couple of days I feel like I'm going to break from pain. Nothing new has happened except the weather has gone down hill. The barometer has dropped like a rock which doesn't help the arthritis in my neck. My shoulders hurt so much it is giving me a constant headache. I know it will pass as I've had this type of pain before. I guess I was worn down when it hit and it's hard to manage.

I apologize that I forgot the Sunday Koffee Klatch. Didn't even realize it until tonight. I've been trying to focus away from the pain and haven't been able to concentrate on much of anything. Very scattered! I know many of you understand that feeling. I start one project, get part way into it and get distracted by something else and off I go maybe not returning to the original one for hours or days. I hate being that way. I always was so organized and I can't seem to pull it together any more.

OK, enough of this pity party. I hope you all are doing well tonight and this upcoming week.

I know exactly how you feel about complaining. As a Moderator, I feel like I am always supposed to be strong, but we have problems too. I'm so sorry that you are in so much pain. I know exactly what you mean about trying to start things and not being able to finish. I'm hoping the pain lessens for you soon and even though we don't know each other, you will be on my mind. Many nights I've been up in pain so I feel for you. Have you tried magnesium yet? It really helps me so much and also helps me sleep. I sleep deeper now and wake up refreshed.

Anyway, I hope you feel better soon hun.

(((Hugs))) Many of us cope pretty well most of the time, but sometimes it all gets just too hard to take. Everyone (especially when you are in as much pain as we sometimes are) gets to have a pity party now and then. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Hi Chutzie,

I am so sorry that you are suffering so. I have been through the same thing with all these fronts coming in here in Michigan. It is suppose to rain most of the week. Once it starts, I am usually fine, it is the baro pressure before the rain. I have too been in pain and very tired. I, like you, feel that i have to be strong and not complain, but I guess we all need to vent once in a while. I hope that you feel better soon.

Dear Chutz,

So sorry you're feeling so miserable. This weather can be brutal on a Fibro's body. Yes, it will pass, but in the mean time you just don't feel good. Ppl look forward to spring (and the other seasons) thinking in terms of the nicer weather, the new flowers in bloom, but each season can bring on a flare for us. The different weather patterns can make us hurt terribly. All you can do is take care of yourself.

Of course we missed your Koffee Klatch, but I figured you probably just needed some quiet time to yourself. I am amazed how you come up w/ all the topics each day. You are a marvel.

Take care of yourself, and know we are all in your corner. Hope you feel better soon!!

Awww. I hope you start feeling better soon, Mom. I know what it is like to go through a flare. They are no fun, especially when you have things that need to be done. Remember that this too shall pass. It will be ok. Hang in there. Love ya!

Sorry you're not doin' so hot just now, Chutzie. I finally broke down last night and had a scotch and water. I know it doesn't go with all my meds but I didn't care for that one time. My back relaxed and I was able to get to sleep.

Hi Chutzie,

Well, today is a new day so hopefully you are doing better. But since I live in western WA too I sincerely doubt that much has changed! Isn't this weather just the pits? I keep hoping every morning that I'll ACTUALLY see sun! Isn't May suppose to be spring? You know, birds singing, flowers blooming, SUN shining?! Oh, well it will get here sooner or later. Hope your flare will be better today--I've been going thru one too.

hope you are feeling a bit better this morning!! I too am so sorry that your pain is so bad...

You need not worry about putting up the Koffee Klatch...all you need right now is to take care of you!!

I do as others understand the pain expecially with the weather changes.Not a good time!!

I'm so sorry you are having such a rough time right now. I hope today that you are feeling a little better.

You mean being "scattered" isn't normal? I usually have about five different things going and then I forget half of them. Today I let my little dog out in the back yard, got busy and forgot about her for a half an hour. That doesn't seem bad until you realize it was 88 degrees outside and it felt like it was 92 degrees outside because of the humidity! Her tongue was practically hanging on the ground! I guess I'll have to wear my vibrating timer next time I let her out. Anyway, forgetting things goes with the territory! Not to worry.

Feel better, Chutzie. I am the Queen of Scatter...as you well know. We have had fronts going in and out of here in Central NY. Last week we had snow three days after it was 89 degrees. That's and Owie. This morning when I got up it was hot, rainy and muggy and right now the temp dropped about twenty degrees and the wind is blowing the branches off the trees. Even my nose hairs ache. Hmmm.

Donna...I must say I think my nose hairs are the only things that haven't hurt on my body. lmbo! But there is no way I can take a temperature swing like you have. I was in Rochester in '93 and it felt like I was in a warm shower breathing steamy water. I guess I will be humble and take this maritime climate here in NW Washington.

Sherrine, the only other person who calls me 'kiddo' is my biological brother and he's a very special person in my life too. Thanks and take care of that fur-baby, OK?

Yo-Yo! Ya, this weather is hard to deal with but then that's weather in Washington. I saw some sun blow through today but the wind was so wild that it didn't last long. I do love the wind though...just not the pain.

Jeannie! You know, sometimes we just have to break the rules. I"m not much for scotch but I'd take a little Tuacca with some warm spiced cider. Sure would sleep good. ;-)

Robin...I'm working on feeling better. Tonight and tomorrow I'm taking time off and doing sewing...just for me. I had to watch babies for a while today but tomorrow is all mine!

Sassy sweets...I'm trying to take it easy. Grandma Chutzie can't be down for long. Too many grandbabies to cuddle. Give Alex a snuggle for me, OK?

Alice~ I agree that spring can be very uplifting. I've been outside with my camera trying some macro shots for the past couple of weeks. I've gotten some really cool ones of flowers and spring plants as they come up.

Navy...you said it right~ wearing! Wears out my body, mind and patience but I'll survive. Too stubborn not to...lol

Karen, I do hate to vent but it's OK for others to...know what I mean. But I like your comments because it makes me feel better about unloading.

Austin...thanks and I think the pity party is about over. Hurting a lot tonight but I've decided tomorrow it will be much better...because all of you care so much.

Cajun Girl...Are we twins or something?...lol I too feel like I'm always supposed to be strong and not complain but as I tell others, moderators are no different than anyone else except we volunteered to hang out and help with some of the mechanics of keeping the forum running smoothly. Even the owner has chronic illness which is why he started Healing Well.

Are you better today, Chutz? Here it's about 80 degrees but the wind is gusting to about 30 mph, at least - so what good is the sun?? My body's not so hot, either. But when you said you've about hit your pain limit - well, that's bad! I'll be hoping for better for you.
