OK here it goes.
We won 2 nights and three days away nice. It is at a big tourist area on the coast and hlours drive from our place. All right we have been looking forward to this since we won it.
Now the area is wonderful known for its coloured sands hence the name Rainbow Beach. So here we are we arrived around 2pm yesterday. The first place we stopped to eat seafood sandwich. YUM it was great. Then off to our Resort. Yea well
Now ok we won this so we are not paying customers, but we did tell the person checking us in that we worked [volenteer] at the tourist informtion centre at the nearest large city and we refer people to this area and to what places they stay at. Our manager has asked us to check every thing out while we are staying here.
The room well it needs a lot of work I am very disappointed. There is rust on the over head fan. The bathroom needs work it is water damaged. Even the towels we where given do not match and are very old. It is nothing like the information on the web site.
My DH is not picky but he is not happy with the whole set up. We went to a cabin in a caravan park [trailer park] a year ago and the area where we stayed is not a big tourist arear, that was a thousand percent on this place.
The bed here is like sleeping on a board, it is winter here and the only blanket we have is light so we have had to have the air conditioner on all night and it makes a terrible sound.
No if we where paying we would of changed our accomindation last night.
We had Pizza for our meal last night wow it was wonderful. Today we are going to try out some other places we love to check out places.

Kathy, the beach itself sounds wonderful. I bet it is beautiful with all the colored sand.
Enjoy the time you have with your hubby exploring. Have lots of fun, that's what it is all

Hi Kathy,

What a disappointment but I do like your attitude. You are still having fun irregardless of the room. BUT...because of what you told him "worked [volunteer] at the tourist information centre "
you will have plenty of opportunity to even the playing field. If this is even an average room I can you image what their low end rooms are? <shudder>

The beaches sound so lovely. I love the's my favorite place to be so you two lovebirds enjoy and when you get back you can write a few well chosen letter and handle the problem.
