He had a hissy when I got a walker so I read him the riot act. I ended up crying and telling him how hard it is to feel limited by the distance I can walk. I can't go to the mall or the nature center with the kids. Just going to the City Market is a trial. No more county fairs or concerts, nothing that requires any length of walking. He must have listened...

HE BOUGHT ME A HOVEROUND!!! He got it secondhand for almost nothing and it's brand new! I can go fast or slow and it's amazing! Now I have to save my pennies and get a special ramp for the van so I can take it places. Happy, happy! Joy, joy!!! Life can be good. He understands and he still loves me even if I'm "broken". smilewinkgrin

That's so awesome! It's hard when others don't understand. But now you have two gifts: the hoveround and his understanding!

That is great news. Having him understand has got to take a weight off of your shoulders. Enjoy the hoverround.

This is great news, Jeannie!  Those look so great and you can get around corners and small places easily so shopping will be much easier.  I guess I know who will be heading to the fair this year!
