I hope you decide to post your thoughts today. It's easy, fun and free! How much better can it get? idea tongue

Today's question is ... What gets you excited about life? Is there one thing/person/time/event/whatever that gets you pumped up and glad to be alive? What is that and why does it have such a wonderful impact on you?

I'm split on this one. There's the excitement for live that my husband brings me. When we just sit and talk or maybe pack a picnic and take a day trip/drive together. We both get revitalized almost like having a vacation. But for general happiness and smiles there's nothing like the giggles of the young grandchildren. And the older one's laugh is just as infectious. How can you not love life when a little guy says, "Grandma, thank you for the bandage for my nose!" and it was the tiniest scratch Or when a 9 month old is bouncing in my lap, looks me in the face, grins and then buries his face in my neck and snuggles down for a nap. It's then you know it's great to be alive!

What is it that gets you excited about life? and why?

I love springtime, and it gets me excited about life. I feel blah from the the start of fall when the leaves turn brown until the trees bud and the grass starts to turn green. Then, I really start to perk up. Not to mention, during the spring and summer months, I do not feel as achey.

My family. I have the best husband and children. They keep me excited about life. When I look into my husbands eyes it is as if I am a young girl again, makes me feel alive.
I struggle with FM,Raynauds Syndrome, gastroparesis, IBS and depression. I trust in God with all things. Been a tough journey and it's not getting any easier but thanks to God and my family I am not alone.

I'm with steppingstone--I WAIT it seems forever for summer to come around.  And living in western WA, we have two seasons summer and the rest of the year!  The sunny warm or hot days make we feel SO much better and finally excited about living.  This has been the longest "other season" this year, grey, rain, cloudy, cold or so cool I couldn't even get inspired to walk outside.  To say I'm looking forward to summer is an understatement! LOL!

I just got back from New Hampshire and went there for the 100th birthday of my man's grandmother. She still lives at home.
She's losing a little bit of her memory but her 92 yr old sister that was there was super sharp. What a wonderful sense of humor
in both of them. Gram doesn't do as much as she used to but tries to walk at least 4 times a day. Her sister mows 2 1/2 acres with
a rider. I want to be like that.

I agree with Steppingstone too, SPRING! To me, that's when the world becomes welcoming, instead of hostile. As someone who literally wears a turtleneck and cardigan sweater until it's about 75 degrees, (and usually is even cold then,) Autumn is only good for about a month. Then, I want to flip back to April or May!

Also, seeing everything coming back to life is joyous.
