That's a darn good question! And I'm just goofy enough to look it up. <sorrowful state I'm in, I Let's see, they do pollinate some varieties of orchids. As Silly mentioned, they are feed for other animals. And they are a vector for disease/bacteria. Oh joy!...NOT! But without the mosquito those bacteria would have died out long ago. And wouldn't we be sad. Gee, another endangered species snuffed out in a heartbeat!! shocked tongue wink There are several other 'critters' that I'd not cry over if they didn't exist. Like fruit flies! Wait, scientists use them by the bucket full. OK, then.... those tiny ants that can get into your house/kitchen. And what about fire ants?!!?

OK, it's time for Chutzie to take her medicine and go to bed...she's getting way to silly tonight. smilewinkgrin

What was the question?

How about slugs.  They eat my tomatoes before I get to them.  This year I'm growing them in a Topsy Turvy.  The slugs will probably get to them anyway.

Topsy tervy tomatoes Sherrine? I have seen them before and grew them one year. It is nice because your tomatoes never do touch the ground. Good luck with your plants Sherrine.  Also grew cherry tomatoes in hanging baskets.  They came out great!!!
