Would you rather take pictures or be in pictures? Most of us enjoy pictures and have some sort of photographic equipment. You might use those one-use cameras or have thousands of dollars of high end gear but no matter, we do love taking pictures of our families. But are you usually behind the camera or in front of it?

There are precious few pictures of me over the years because I'm always the one holding the camera. Plus I'm very watchful of others who have a camera in their hand. It just makes me very uncomfortable. I don't like the way I look in photos and I don't want people taking them. Yet others in our family perk up the minutes someone pulls out their camera. I also love tweaking my pictures in software and having some fun with pictures of the little ones, sort of Anne Geddes style...just not that good. tongue

OK, time to fess up. Do you usually hang on to the camera or are you fine with being on the other side of the lens and having someone take your picture?

I don't usually do either, but if I had to make a choice, it would definitely be taking the picures, not being in them. I do not like the way I look in picures, and it makes me self conscious. My son got married in March, and the picures that were talken of me at his wedding were probably the first that had been taken in ten or more years. I don't mind taking the pictures, but I just don't always think about it.

I HATE having my picture taken. I am the most unphotogenic person I know! I have even asked family members if I really look like I do in pictures and thankfully they say no and do have to agree I take horrible pictures. I don't know if it's my facial expressions or what but I will go out of my way to not be photographed. My kids get irritated that I don't want to be in any pics, but it really is that bad! Now my kids on the other hand especially the 11 and 17 yr old girls LOVE to take pictures of themselves, talk about camera hogs! Oh and the "posing" for the camera cracks me up...they even have the 7yr old making the faces, it's great!

I absolutely cannot stand to have my picture taken.  I am not photogenic at all.  I will ruin a picture everytime if I'm in it.   I would rather be the one taking the pictures.

I don't like the way I look in pictures either, whether it's the white circles around my eyes, or the angles of my features, whatever. Not good! Still, I wouldn't mind having more memories, with and without my smiling mug, and I'm usually the one who thinks of it. Sadly, no one thinks of it much these days, now that the kids are grown. Then, when I do, I always get yelled at for taking too long to shoot the picture! We have about a kazillion pictures from the pre-digital age that need to be put in books, and it just never seems to get done. Someday.

I like to take pictures much more than having my picture taken! I especially hate it when I find that someone has posted a picture of me on facebook and it's the most hideous picture ever!

Over the years, I have captured many candid moments of family and friends. I love to
take photos. When putting together the DVD of our family's treasured memories for my
Dad, I realized how many of the photos I had taken. It really occured to me then, how
just the quick act of taking a snapshot does really preserve a moment in time.

I'm the clicker and really hate for my picture to be taken. For the ones I am in your lucky if I'm looking at the camera at all.

I would much prefer to be taking the pictures. I have gained some weight, so I really don't like having my pic taken now. I don't want to break the camera. :)

I like to take photos and I am the one in the family with a good camera. I used to like having my photo taken because I looked better in the photos than in real life. But not for the last 15 or so years.

I absolutely hate having my picture taken, but at the same time I shake too bad to take good pictures. I guess when there are pictures being taken I am usually hiding in the back ground.
