What’s the best time to wake up on a Saturday morning? And what do you like to do if you could choose? Are you an early riser even though you don' t have to get up at the crack of dawn? Do you sleep til noon and get up ready for lunch? shocked wink Of do you just get up when you wake up, get a hot cup of your favorite morning beverage and a small bite to eat? How would you like your Saturday mornings to ge?

I like to wake up when my body is ready but no later than about 6:30. I have to get meds in me and check blood sugars and take insulin. Otherwise I get everything goofed up for the rest of the day. BUT, then I fix a small breakfast...usually either cereal and milk or toast and coffee...and find my recliner. I turn on the TV quietly and find PBS. At 8AM a lineup of quilting shows start parading through my morning. As long as my coffee stays hot I'll sit right there and stitch while I watch. Most often I have to reheat my coffee but no problem....I have to get rid of some coffee tongue These shows go on until 12:30. I always say I'm going to sit there until the last one but I've never made it yet! Still something to strive for...

What's a perfect Saturday morning like for you?

Well, it's nearly 7:30 and I've been up for an hour. Got laundry going, trash together and am waiting for the grandkids to be
dropped off. Then it'll be off to breakfast at a good diner and I want to try to get to the Disney Store and Children's Place today.
Working on school clothes for next year, nearly have Christmas wrapped up. yeah

I love leisure Saturday mornings.  I usually sleep until I wake up.  Right now I've just got out of school for the summer so I still wake up early, but as the summer goes on I sleep later and later.
Most Saturdays I have coffee with DH and check my mail on the computer.
This morning he is already in the garden before it gets too hot so I'm having my morning coffee all alone.  It's so peaceful and quiet and the sun is shining so beautiful.  "God is in his heaven and all is well".
Hope everyone has a pain free Saturday!
God Bless!

I usually let myself wakeup on my own, although anymore it's pretty early (between 4 and 6). If I sleep past 6 without taking my meds it is harder to get the pain back under control. My morning stiffness is really bad, in fact that is what brought me to the doc's after the headaches and started my long, long journey to a fibro dx. This morning though I woke up at 2:40 am, wide awake. So I took my meds, made the coffee and messed around on the computer until 6:00, then took a nap and now I am back for round Saturday's are spent doing whatever the kids want to do, alot of times I get left out of that plan cuz I just can't keep up, so then I spend it relaxing on the computer or watching some TV and usually get some reading done. Oh and Nana, I wish you could train me to get stuff done ahead of time. Done with Christmas shopping in June?? That's amazing! I am usually starting mine Christmas Eve...Take care everyone.

I've been awake for hrs - doesn't matter if it's Saturday or not. I haven't been able to take my PM for the past few nights, due to my DH being sick. He was in the ER the other night and I'm afraid he may be going back. So today's schedule is a bit different from most Saturdays.
I have always been an early riser. My Saturday usually starts w/ laundry - I know, Life in the fast lane. lol Then I make sure my 'Evil Puppy' has been walked and fed. In the summer, I like to get an early start in the garden, before the heat really hits. I try to get a few chores done, then sit and look at the beautiful flowers in bloom. I sometimes have a light breakfast before I go out in the yd, sometimes the thought of food can turn my stomach, so I skip it.
Today is very hot already and it will be worse, but I'm in the house right near my love, watching and waiting.
Donna, yeah, it's Saturday - I checked my calendar. So hard to keep track.  shakehead
Shannon - SL, Enjoy your summer off, hope it's just perfect for you.
Shannon - D1, Hope you have a relaxing day w/ the the comp, tv, or a good book.
Nana - Have fun w/ the grands. I used to have the Christmas stuff done by Aug, NOT anymore. You Are Good!
Chutz - I love to hear of you quilting. I used to do some yrs ago, haven't in a long time. I wish you could show us some of your work, I know it must be beautiful. Hope you make it to 12:30 one of these Saturdays. lol
Hope all of you have a wonderful Saturday.
God bless.  Alice.
