I have been using a cane for almost 2 yrs now. It is a 4 prong cane, and it has been a tremendous asset. I have a terrible time w/ OA and my balance - walking & turning are an adventure. In my house I don't generally use the cane, since there is a wall or pc of furniture close enough to grab. I do not walk out of my house w/o my cane. I like to walk, but as I said, I can get drifty when I walk and climbing steps is a big problem.
My cane has a name also, Abel. I taught religion for 15 yrs, I can't help myself.
I like that butterfly cane, that sounds very pretty.
I would also suggest you get things checked out for the dizziness, you want to be sure of what you're dealing with.
I didn't think it would come to this point, either, but I would rather have the cane and avoid falling and causing more problems than I have now. I've had a few ppl make a comment, but it has been jerks I don't like anyway. They don't matter in my life.
Use it and keep yourself safe and mobile. Good luck.
God bless. Alice.
