Are headaches and nausea common with fibro? I get headaches a lot and I also find myself having waves of nausea that are very random.

Somer, yes both headaches and nausea are common to some fibromites. I suffered
with migraines with nausea frequently and they lasted 2-3 days. I was prescribed
Imitrex which was very helpful. I no longer suffer 3 migraines a month, I only have
a few bad migraines a year and no longer take Imitrex. I do have a headache usually
one a week but am lucky not to have the nausea with it. Excederin takes care of it.

I have the nausea. It seems to be worse in the morning. I have a perscription for the nausea but it makes me so tired. I find the more pain I am in the sicker I get.

Thanks ladies. I tend to have my headaches and nausea as a pair. I usually get it around 6 pm. and it lasts until I finally just go to bed. I wasn't sure what to link them too. Glad to know it's just another fibro symptom.

It was headaches that actually brought me to the doctors in the first place. It was once they got those somewhat under control that I felt all the other pain. My head pain is usually so bad it completely consumes me. I have read somewhere that around 75 percent of people with fibro suffer from headaches and migraines, not sure if the numbers are correct but I do know it is a symptom. Take care.
