We all go in and out of relationships. We always fall for something they say or do. In your first serious relationship what was the pick up line or pick up behaviour? What was your first date like?
I was staying at a friends out of town for vacation. Anyhow, I kept running into this same city bus driver all week while I was looking for a friend who was a city bus driver too that I think of like a brother. The driver that I kept running into asked if I found my brother and I told him no. So the driver gave me his number and said "well if you ever need a big brother i will be your big brother for the day". Anyhow, my so called "friends" that I was staying with decided to throw a over-rated party right down to "activities" in the living room." I packed my stuff, walked out the door to the bus stop. I realized, I had no money, and just a cell phone. The driver wouldnt let me on without fare. So I frantically pad myself down hoping on a miracle, and I pulled out the driver's phone number from earlier in the week. I figured oh what the heck, bus drivers pass background checks, I'd give him a call. I called him up, told him my delima. He said to just hang tight and he'd drive over and pick me up and take me to lunch. He picked me up, and we went to Shari's. We couldn't make up our minds of what we wanted, and the waitress comes up asks us what we were debating on. Turned out to be the same two things for both of us (go figure lol). And the waitress says "well each of you order one and share the plate". We looked at each other and he said "well if that is ok with you.." so I say "sure ok." Well, after lunch he had to go to work, and he offered to just drive me the two hours when he got off work to my house. So I agreed. I ended up at his house and in the guest room instead because of how tired I was. We been stuck together since. That was 7 years ago this October.

Very cute story, smurfy.

I'm a very outgoing person. I was 15 years old at the time of this story. Anyway, I noticed one of our big football players (at church) had lost weight over the I said "you have lost some weight, and you look really good." This 16yr old guy was very shy and just smiled at me. Well - when school started that fall, this boy had his eye on me but was way to shy to ask me to the homecoming dance. So he just showed up at the dance, and I didn't have a date, and he asked me to dance. I guess it took all the nerve he could muster. As we were dancing, I knew this was the man I would marry. And I did - when I was 18 and he was 19. We will be married 30yrs this december. All because I gave the big guy a compliment in church one sunday. He is 15 inches taller than me. I guess we look pretty cute we are told..... :)

I just love your story. So romantic. And so cool. I am so glad that you took his number. Taht was awesome.

When I was a teenager, I didn't have a lot of friends. And the ones that I had stabbed me in the back. They all turned on me and one day they all tried to beat me up. I ran like hell all the way home. After that, the busdriver would drop me off at my house so that I was safe. Well, there was some new people that moved in next door. This young guy that was a few years older than me would be sitting in a lawn chair when we got home from school. Finally I went over to him and started talking. We didn't have a lasting relationship, but he introduced me to some pretty cool people and I wasn't afraid of the bullies at school anymore. Not that interesting of a story, but he was my first love. And he saved my life in a sense.

Hugs, Karen
