I have been on Gabapentin for Fibro pain.  My doctor kept increasing my dose.
She wanted to increase it again.  I was up to 1500 mg and heading toward 1800 mg.
I decided to wean myself off a little and see what difference it makes.
I am down to 300 mg. and I think I actually feel better.
I don't think it was working, but maybe I am just in a good spot now.
I am just tired of all the pills.

I was on gabapentin after cymbalta didn't work and just quit savella. I wonder if any of them will work for me. I'm also getting tired of all the pills

I tried it years ago.  It made me studder.  I didn't like it at all.  That is neurontin correct?  I get it mixed up with lyrica.  My doctor before this one asked me if I tried it and I told him what happened and that was all that was said.  It is just too nervy of a medication for me.  I don't do well on it.

I hope that you find what works for you.  It truly gets frustrating.  Believe me, I have been there.  It takes a long time to find what is right for your pain.  I still have pain, but I can tolerate it.  So if you can find something that will at least bring the levels down, go for it.  That is about the best that we can do.

Best wishes,

Hugs, Karen

Was on it for 4 years and could not get my then doctor to listen to me. It didn't do anything and I was on the max dosage. My dad takes it and thinks it works wonders, so just like this wonderful condition we all have, symptoms vary and so do the effectiveness and side effects of the medications we take.

I hope you feel better and that you find a solution that works for you

I havent been on Neurontin but my husband has. I dont know as it helped him very much but I have heard from others that it helps them. I would talk to your doctor again and tell him that it is time to try something else because these pills arent working for you.
I will keep you in my prayers.
