Well friends today was the day for getting the port put in. I wil be reading all the posts from today and I will try to answer them tomorrow. Due to the fact that I am in alot of pain from my neck all the way down my arm from the surgery. I know that this is just temporary and I will be just fine but it sure hurts right now. They ended up having to make two incisions because they couldnt get it to go in the first one. The one they did get it in is up by my neck so no lowcut shirts for me lol. I love you all and I will post more tomorrow.
Gentle Hugs

Thanks Debbie and Robin, I think after last night I can relate better to those of you with insomnia. I was awake every hour and finally at 3:45 I gave up on the idea of sleep. I even grabbed a 50mcg fentanyl patch and added that to the 25mcg to try and relieve some of the pain. Its not cutting it. I finally gave up sleeping and read until the dogs woke up and wanted to go outside. I got up let them out and here I am on the computer. lol
Its a little easier to type right now than it was last night probably due to the extra fentanyl. lol. Oh well into every life some rain must fall. And this too shall pass.

I wish I could take the pain away but it will go away soon.  I had a port put in that had three different places to put medication and liquid nutrition and it sure was far better than trying to get it all through the veins in my arms.  They were starting to collapse.  But now, for you, whenever you need meds, you won't be stuck anymore.

I hope you feel much better now.  I wish you didn't have to go through all of this.  I'm praying that you will get through this with flying colors.

(((( Shirley ))))

I hope the pain will diminish throughout the day and that soon it won't even be something you feel at all.

You have come through this step really well. You're doing it. You're getting things taken care of. Keep going, my friend. You're doing the right things.
