I'm just wondering because it seems like I never feel like I'm NOT in a flare up. yesterday was an ok day I was even able to go clean my father in laws house a bit and I made sure I didn't push myself too hard just enough. I was sore when i got home so i took a bath to help with that The rest of the day I schooled the kids and played with them and watched movies. By night time though i was in pain from head to toe. my hot flashes were severe. I really hand't done that much but from last night I'm in full flare up mode. So when you have a flare up how long does it last?

Sometimes weeks but the last one lasted an entire month. Although I hurt everyday, when I'm flaring I can't get out of bed, but on decent days I push through and ignore it as best as I can. Hope you feel better real soon!

Hi java I wish I had an easy answer for you but with each of us being so different its really hard to say how long any one flare will last. I hope that you will feel better soon. I have been so lucky in that I havent had my fibro do a really bad flare on me for awhile.
I will be praying for you.
Gentle Hugs

Ditto what Shirley said about us all being so different. *knock on wood* So I don't jinx myself here, but mine seem to be counted in days, mostly.

That delayed reaction to exertion is terrible. It takes a long time to recognize what might be too much.

Hope it is over soon.

Hi Java,
It is really hard to say, it can be a few days, to a constant thing for me, especially if something else is going on. Right now my pain is stronger than ever, but I also think my Lyme may be rearing its ugly head again.
I hope you are out of your flare soon!!

How long do flares last?....TOO LONG :) Like the fibro- gang stated it's hard to
say how long they will last. I have had flares last a day and others that have hung
on for weeks. The severity of my flares fluctuate also. The everyday pain is pretty
much tolerable...the bad flares, I have a coping routine down...lots of soaks in hot
tub, gentle stretching, short walks, relaxation therapy and muscle relaxers and of
course keeping my bedbuddies nuked!

Hoping your flare ends soon!

Hugs, Robin

thank you girls that actually did answer a lot. because the last flare i had was in June/July and it lasted a month and ended with me in the hospital and of course still no answers. So of course i wasnt sure of what it was till I started investigating on my own.

Thank you for being so patient with me.

When I have flare ups I have about 2 good weeks out of a month thats just how long mine lasts. I have chronic pain all day long constant burning in my back and shoulder area all the time. I fall asleep at work constantly which has caused me to have to get a note from my doc. Some days i dont even go to work because i can hardly get out of bed. I am barely making it to work everyday maybe 2 or 3 days a week and im am on the verge of suspesion due to my fibro
