I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome earlier this year by a neurologist (I was actually there for something completely different, but he checked me over a bit and told me that was part of the problems in my health. He recommended wearing the splints at night to see if that made any difference - but the only difference was increased shooting pains and the inability to close my fingers.
This doctor also told me that if I didn't see any difference or if pain got worse, I was free to call him immediately thru his pager to try and squeeze in an appointment. He said I should set up an appointment in about
2 weeks, so we can analyze everything.
