I just read another descript
ion here of what another fibromite is able to do as far as housework. My socks were knocked clear across the room! So often, I'm left scratching my head.
Vacuuming? Scrubbing? I can't imagine doing either of those things. I probably haven't vacuumed in 15 years. And if I put the SLIGHTEST amount of elbow grease into cleaning something - well, let's just say I don't. It's not worth it.
I realized tonight that not only do I put blinders on so I won't have to see how bad the house is, I almost feel that it (the house) doesn't have anything to do with me anymore. (It's sanitary, dishes are done, etc. but it's dusty and things grow roots wherever they land.) This makes me sad, because I've always loved decorating, fixing up, going to Ross or Goodwill and finding little treasures and arranging them. I used to love making things shine, painting and moving furniture and pictures, but THAT's not going to happen anymore.
Tonight I pulled a little metal 2-step stool behind me (the lightest kind) for about 10 seconds. Literally. That's it. Now my whole left side is angry, throbbing and burning...neck to foot. I had already taken a Tramadol for my normal fibro pain, but this is a particular fibro pain that is totally dependent on what I do. What happened with the stool is pretty typical, though once in awhile I can get away with something like that. (I've had MRIs, and my doctor says I can do anything but run as far as he's concerned.) A lot of days, I can't even walk the whole way around the puny little mall without aggravating that pain.
I LIKE TO DO STUFF!!! Sorry, I'm better now So what I want to know is, how many have to be as *##@^ careful as this?
