So I normally flush every night around five til about
seven. EVERY night. Tonight around five of course I start flushing no big deal im used to it but then around seven the flushing goes away and my ears start itching and within an hour my ears were "flushed" at least that's as close as I can get to describing it.
They are bright red like been sitting in the sun and got fried sunburnt red. And they are extremely hot to the touch. Like H.O.T. And they feellike they are burning off my head they are so hot...Totally weird! They are still itchy and they are still red and hot. not sure what caused it or what to do, was just wondering if anyone else gets this?
I read online that one cause of red hot ears is hyperthyroidism. And just recently (like within the past month) I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism...so I'm wondering if my med is too strong or if my blood work came back wrong and so I'm over doing the thyroid med...
..hmm i go in for a recheck in a couple weeks I will just keep an eye on it.
Hope everyone had a pretty much pain free day today and that you all "sleep" tonight :D

Evey,
When I read this I remembered that my ears used to do this, too. It's been years, but it used to really baffle me. It was usually one at a time.
I'm also going through figuring out my thyroid problem - I was hypo, so went on meds and now they keep cutting down my medication, 25 mcg at a time, because I'm hyper. Don't you love it??
