I definitely would talk to the doctor about
this problem. They know the ins and outs of people having to take leave because of medical problems. He can hopefully give you a couple of ideas on how to handle the problems. Absolutely push forward and get some help with this. Unexcused, and even excused, absenteeism is the leading cause of firing an employee.
