Hello everyone....I've been perusing the message board for awhile, but this is my first posting and am looking for some information.
I'm 51 and have had pains throughout my neck, shoulders, chest and back since I was 18 (my GP called in a viral infection, though I have suspected it to be fibromyalgia for years). It usually has flared up during the colder months, or during my monthly cycle, but nothing too bad. Lately though, I have noticed an aching feeling in my legs that I didn't have before, especially on the fronts of both my thighs. I also feel some tingling as well. I have also had aches and pains in my calves, but these aches never linger, just the aches in my thighs. I've also noticed that sometimes my legs twitch at night (my cats think I'm playing under the covers and attack my feet).
Has anyone else experienced this? I'm wondering if this is part of the fibromyalgia in conjunction with perimenopause (yes, I'm in the throes of that as well). I'm making an appointment with my GP tomorrow, but was wondering if anyone else has had these problems.
Thanks so much....amazing how the body just starts "falling apart"...
