I went through an automatic car wash today. I laughed my head off at the instructions but I AM a fibromite and need to be reminded of the most rudimentary things some times.
I pull in and put the money in the machine. Look straight ahead at a closed metal door. On the door the sign reads 'Do not enter car wash until the door is open.' Seriously...you mean I can't gun it and slam right on through? Then 'Do not open windows or sunroof while water is spraying'. Well, I want to. I want to open all my windows AND sunroof so the power jets can blast all the dirt off my dashboard and wash my hair at the same time. I pull in and it says to stop when the "X' appears and to put the car in park. Somewhere a recorded voice says 'Do not accelerate once the vehicle is in park.' Why not? It would only burn up my engine. Duh. The car is washed and there is a closed door ahead of me. Of course the sign reads 'Do not exit the car wash until the door is open.' Once again, I am tempted to floor it and take out the front of the building.
I have been known to open the wrong garage door here at home and back up. But really. It was my laugh for the day and I guess that counts for something as it takes so little to amuse me.
