So after asking what the worst part of fibro was for you guys and in turn causing me to feel a bit down, I wanted to try and lift some spirits (and my own) by talking about
what still makes us happy or maybe what having fibro has taught us...I'll start...
I've gotten really into gardening - although I can only do it for about
an hour or two, when I get to watch my flowers grow I get really excited. I guess it's something that I can still control and do on my own.
Other than that, off the top of my head I guess I'd say that I'm the most responsible 28 year old I know! When I'm feeling my best, I take that time to take care of business that I can't normally do - so yeah, I totally take care of responsibilities more than anyone else my own age.
I love taking short (under a mile) walks with my puppy. ooohhh, and I absolutely love my puppy dog - she makes me incredibly happy. ... she's my reason for getting up in the mornings. I also like taking hot baths and lighting a bunch of candles - it helps to relieve tension in my body and also to relax my mind.
Oh, and having fibro has made me a lot closer to my parents and it also really has allowed me to see who is a true friend and who isn't worth my time.
That's my short little list for now. Just wanted to start a convo that wasn't about
meds, treatments, or the difficult times we all experience with fibro. Anyone else wanna contribute? Maybe we can make a big book of ideas of ways to de-stress with fibro and fill it with all our ideas...?!?
