I am having the WORST fibro flare. Everything hurts except my hair and that is debatable. I saw my rheumy yesterday and it was more than obvious to him that I was in severe pain. He changed a med, added another and told me to come back in a month to see if I pulled out of this fibro slump. He said that I have had a lot of medical issues lately and that it is the "medical" stress that probably brought it on and that as that goes away I should feel better. I appreciated that statement but it wasn't anything I didn't already know.
The "stress" isn't so much from all the medical issues I have been through but the fight that I have had to go thru to get the doctors office to send the Physicians statement of leave to the insurance company to have my short term ability approved. I had to fight with them the last time I had leave and now I am fighting with them again. All they had to do was add a few days to the last statement and fax it. Would that be too hard? would it take too much time? NO!
I had to call the office manager to make a complaint against my doctors admin. asst. for not doing her job. I really hate to step on toes but she cost me my check one too many times and that becomes personal. Now for the second pay period in a row I will not get my short term pay with my regular pay because of this. I will have to wait for a paper check to be cut and mailed and only if they get this approval done by thursday noon.
I really wanted to call out of work today and stay home but laying in bed was much to painful and since I live with my daughter and her three small boys I knew I wouldn't get any rest/quiet time if I stayed home. So, I am here at work trying to pretend that I don't hurt and that my pay check isn't going to be 3 1/2 days short.
I am just so angry right now. I almost want to fire that doctor and find another and all because of her admin asst and not because of her.
I feel somewhat better for writing this - not, but I am trying to just let it go. OK, vent over. Thanks for reading.
P.s. On top of fibro flare and fighting with doc/insurance, it is raining cats and dogs out.
