I, personally, wouldn't go to a walk-in clinic. I've done that before and have been misdiagnosed...and I paid an arm and a leg for the misdiagnosis, too. I was diagnosed with pink eye when I actually had iritis...which could have easily blinded me if I didn't finally see my regular eye doctor! We have a member here that went to a walk-in clinic this winter because her eyes were hurting and, again, was misdiagnosed with pink eye. She actually had shingles on her eyes and could have gone blind, too! I have heard some nightmares out there. My personal opinion is that you will not find your really good doctors working in a walk-in clinic.
If I were you, I'd try to find a rheumatologist in your area and see them for your fibro, since you are having problems finding a PC doctor that will help you. They probably don't know much about fibro if they won't treat it. But if you decide to try this, make sure you ask if the doctor treats fibroyalgia patients before you schedule an appointment. Believe it or not, there are still rheumies out there that are still in the Dark Ages.
