Inflamation is part of rheumatoid arthritis, but not osteoarthritis, at least not in the beginning. It is part of Lupus. It's not part of fibromyalgia.
If you go to a rheumatologist he will run a bunch of blood tests to rule out different diseases. It's a whole lot better than just guessing!
I have hardly any arthritis, but right now have a couple of bone spurs in my shoulder that are trying to kill me. Injections take away the pain, but I've had the 3 allowed. Surgery would clear it up, but I have to have nose surgery from a wreck. I get no relief from antiinflamatories - Advil, etc. Tylenol helps pain, but only at max dosing.
