Welcome back, almost medfree! I did put your signature in your post and deleted the thread where you just had your signature. This is easier for people to understand.
It has been a very long time...seven years! I hope you have been doing well. I am almost med free, too. I take ibuprofen and extra strength Tylenol. ( I did develop a bleeding ulcer and can't take ibuprofen for two months but I will be taking it again because it really helps me, too.) I also take malic acid/magnesium supplements and vitamin D3 supplements that help me a lot with my pain and fatigue. You might want to check into them.
Also, I do gentle stretching exercises and gentle daily exercises. I walk and sometimes swim as my exercise. Yoga is another good thing for fibro. Then I pace myself when doing things and when you add everything together, this all helps me be almost med free!
Be sure to check out Fibro 101...the second link on the forum. This is new since you were here last. There are links to good info about fibro and you will learn a lot there. There are links to the gentle stretching exercises and also to the vitamins and nutrients I mentioned above. Those links will even tell you how they work in your body. I always talk to my doctor first and he said they couldn't hurt me but he didn't think they would help. Guess what? He was wrong! They help me a lot. Anyway, check out all the links. There is a world of info there.
I'm glad you decided to come back to the family. I'm looking forward to getting to know you. Don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you. Hope to hear more from you soon.
