Hi, Jaammull, and welcome! I'm so glad you found us and joined our family! You want to know what I'd do? I'd get another doctor...soon. Do you have a teaching hospital near you? If so, head there and you could get superb help. If not, see if your GP will refer you to one of the other doctors. They might take referrals but not patients coming in off the street. Know what I mean? I certainly wouldn't waste my time and money with the rheumy you are seeing right now. It doesn't sound like he/she are listening to you.
I've never heard of these boil-like things with fibromyalgia. You could have a staph infection or something like that. I'm not a doctor but am just guessing. This will sound crazy, but my dog had this problem and it went on for nearly a year. It would start out as a red spot and then a tiny blister would form and then pop. It would get scaly and sometimes spread. The vet had her on so many antibiotics that she developed a resistance to all of them and ended up with four different bacterial infections in her system...including MRSA. The vet didn't have anything else to help her so he just said lets hope she doesn't get worse.
Well, I started researching and saw that probiotics could help with things like this. I got probiotics made for dogs and they cleared her skin up in two weeks! I give her probiotics now and it's been over a year since she has had this problem. So, you might look into taking probiotics. It just might help with your skin situation. They can't hurt you I don't think. But, check with your doctor to be sure. We always stress to talk to your doctor before taking anything!
Be sure to read Fibro 101...the second thread on the forum. There are links to good info about fibro and you will learn a lot there. Good starting links are called Symptoms, What Else Could It Be, and A Thorough Explanation of Fibromyalgia. You might see yourself there. There is a link about finding a teaching hospital near you, too. You might want to check that out!
I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. Don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you. Hope to hear more from you soon.
